Relationship therapy varies in length. Sessions are usually once a week and continue until you feel it is time to stop, almost always because things are significantly better.
Along the way, as in the relationship to that point, sometimes you will be angry and think the sessions are not helping you or that the therapist prefers your partner or her/his point of view.
Then, after the next session, s/he will hold that point of view, and you will not. Such feelings are necessary within the process and they need not overly concern you.
Overall, the therapist will identify with the feelings and pont of view of each of you, and will see things from both perspectives.
